Münster - The current debate on climate change is driving shares in the renewable energy industry to new record levels. Yesterday, the worldwide stock index for renewable energy sources RENIXX (Renewable Energy Industrial Index) World reached a new record closing price of 1098.09 points. As announced by the International Economic Platform for Renewable Energies (IWR) in Münster, Germany, since the beginning of the year, RENIXX World, which comprises the world's 20 largest companies in the renewable energy industry on the basis of market capitalization, has climbed by 18.6 percent.
