Volkswind GmbH receives stable "A" Rating
Ganderkesee - The Euler Hermes Rating Agency has awarded the Volkswind Group with an "A" in terms of creditwor-thiness and sustainability. In comparison with the overall economy Volkswind is rated as superior.
The Volkswind Group managed to establish itself further in its core markets by its diversified and risk-adjusted growth strategy. Through the consequent development of 'self-operated' wind farms Volkswind’s stable business model forms the basis for future growth which is financed through the cash flows of operational wind farms. The Euler Hermes agency characterizes the company as an above-average solid company with high potential for the generation of performance and cash flow.
"Through our early positioning as an Independent Power Producer our business model is a very stable one even during such uncertain times, which was again confirmed by Euler Hermes", explains founder and managing director Matthias Stommel.
Since its foundation in 1993 the Volkswind Group has been developing and operating wind farms. From an early beginning, Volkswind has been positioned as an Independent Power Producer (IPP). Besides its domestic locations, the company also has offices in France, Great Britain, Poland, Bulgaria and the USA. The company has approximately 60 employees and with an installed power capacity of over 500MW, of which around 200 MW is self-operated, it is one of the major developers and Independent Power Producers in the wind energy industry in Germany.
