Windwärts Energie GmbH successfully backs ground-mounted photovoltaic systems

- Internationally active specialist for project development and financing at Intersolar

Hannover - Windwärts Energie GmbH from Hanover continues to successfully implement ground-mounted photovoltaic systems in 2010. After commissioning three projects in Bavaria with a total output of 6.3 megawatts in 2009, further systems with a total output of over 9 megawatts are to be commissioned in 2010. One of the projects will be financed by a closed-end solar fund. Windwärts Energie GmbH is also represented this year with its subsidiaries from France and Italy at the international trade fair, Intersolar, taking place in Munich from 9 to 11 June. Both foreign markets offer promising prospects for the further expansion of solar and wind energy use.

"We are developing photovoltaic projects - on open ground and on rooftops," said Lothar Schulze, Director of Windwärts Energie GmbH. "Despite changing legal frameworks. We have proven in the past 16 years that we can adapt successfully to change." The company from Hanover is interested in taking over the rights to projects at all planning stages in Germany, France and Italy. The focus here is on rooftop systems with a capacity of at least 1 megawatt and ground-mounted systems with a minimum capacity of 2 megawatts.

So far, Windwärts Energie GmbH has mainly implemented projects on contractually secure open ground and on rooftops as the general contractor. "In future, we will be working as a system provider for third parties," said Dagmar Krüger, Technical Head of Photovoltaics. "Land owners who are themselves interested in a turnkey photovoltaic system are encouraged to talk to us."

During Intersolar, Windwärts Energie GmbH can be found in Hall A5 of the trade fair ground Munich, stand A5.556. Together with French and Italian colleagues from its subsidiaries, Vents d'Oc Energies Renouvelables and Windwaerts Rinnovabili srl, visitors can expect an experienced team for the German, French and Italian markets.
