Chinese hydropower company Sinohydro signs MOU for 1.000 MW pump storage plant in Ukraine

Beijing, China - The Chinese hydropower und construction concern Sinohydro has signed a Memory of understanding (MOU) with the Ukrainian utility company Ukrhydroenergo on the cooperation to construct the Kaniv pump storage plant.

According to Sinohydro the designed installed capacity of the Kaniv pump storage plant is approximately 1.000MW, and the estimated investment is up to 1 billion Euros.

Ukrhydroenergo is the operator of all large hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine. As Sinohydro points out, if the cooperation gets on well as both sides expect, the Kaniv project would contribute to the stability and safety of Ukraine
