JinkoSolar to Install 13MW Solar Plant in World

Shanghai, China - JinkoSolar Holding Co., a global leader in the PV industry, has supplied 13 MW of high-efficient Eagle series solar panels to be installed in the Dual-Lake County in the Tibetan Plateau.

According to Jinko Solar, elevated at approximately 5000 meters, the project is already touted to be one of the highest solar power projects in the whole world.

As the company points out, Dual-Lake County relied on hydro-electric power for decades, but the recent shifting of weather patterns have caused numerous droughts having adverse effects on reservoirs. This 13 MW solar plant is expected to generate approximately 26,000 MWh of renewable electricity per year, emphasizing the existing hydro-electric resources for power. This shall help during power shortage situations, relieving pressure of the national grid.
