Nordex Group Receives Order for another Large US-Order

Hamburg, Germany - The Nordex Group has received another large order for the N149/4.0-4.5 from the Delta4000 series. The order includes a total of 56 turbines as well as a two-years service contract for a project in the United States.

Installation of this project with a capacity of 269 Megawatts (MW) in the North of the USA is scheduled to start in summer 2020. The machines are to be operated in the 4.8 MW mode and are to be supplied in the "Cold Climate" version. This option offers an extended operating range enabling the turbines to operate down to an outside temperature of -30 degrees Celsius.

"After recording significant new business with our N149/4.0-4.5 in the USA in the course of this year, this new order underlines the continuing strong demand from customers for our turbines of the Delta4000 generation," says Patxi Landa, CSO of the Nordex Group.

The Nordex share, which is listed in the renewable energy index RENIXX World, has come under pressure in recent weeks. Especially after the publication of the financial figures (30.07.2019) of Nordex competitor Siemens Gamesa, which declined due to lower prices in the third quarter, the Nordex share price fell sharply. In the past week, Nordex shares lost 12.5 percent to 10.16 euros. In the stock market environment heavily burdened by the escalating trade conflict between China and the USA, the Nordex share yesterday (05.08.2019) recorded only a comparatively small minus of 1.8 percent to 9.98 euros against the trend. In today's trading, the course picks up again in the morning. The Nordex share is currently leading the RENIXX with an increase of 4.76 percent to EUR 10.450 (06.08.2019, 09:56 am). Since the beginning of the year, this represents an increase of around 37 percent for the Nordex share.
