Conergy: Mounting system and inverter business to operate independently on the market in future
Hamburg, Germany - The Conergy Group continues with its restructuring plans. In doing so, it also affords its production units increased responsibility: The mounting system and inverter area will respectively operate independently on the solar market as of 1. September 2008.
Mounting Systems GmbH: Spin-off makes additional and profitable growth possible
Conergy Mounting Systems is one of the largest producers of mountings for solar applications and will be operating under the name "Mounting Systems GmbH" in future. Its registered offices are in Rangsdorf near Berlin. The Managing Director, Stefan Spork, on this development: "We have been active on the market for more than 15 years, and are now one of the most experienced manufacturers of mountings and module frames for photovoltaic and solar heating systems. Opening up to external clients will allow us to achieve additional, profitable growth. Now we look forward to proving our efficiency also in the OEM market".
In the mounting system sector, the "Mounting Systems GmbH" will offer individual solutions using cutting-edge technologies, professional project support and flexible production capacities with regards to aluminium processing. To complete our product range, we also offer mounting systems and components for photovoltaic and solarthermic systems, including frames for modules and collectors. Mounting Systems has been growing at a sound rate for many years. In 2007, sales of Euro 25 million were achieved and these should be significantly higher for the ongoing 2008 financial year.
voltwerk electronics: Award-winning products now also available for third-party customers
The firm formerly known as Conergy Electronics will, in future, operate as an independent company under its new name "voltwerk electronics GmbH". It provides solar convertors, tracking systems and analysis software for photovoltaic installations. This area had also previously only provided components via internal distributional channels for international projects of the Conergy Group. "By being spun-off into an independent company, we are now in a position to make the experience we have gained during 300 MW installations and our award-winning products available to third-party customers for the first time", says Managing Director Dirk Wiegmann. "With our almost complete range of products in the field of electronic solar components, we have long been experiencing increased demand for our products in markets outside of the Conergy Group. We are now in an optimal position to service OEM markets (original equipment market) as well".
The future "voltwerk electronics GmbH" is one of the few manufacturers worldwide which can offer a comprehensive range of electronic products ranging from tracking systems and intelligent terminal boxes, string and central inverters to complete facility monitoring and analysis of all electronic products. All components are developed and manufactured in Germany. Almost 100 employees are working at our facilities in Bad Vilbel and Hamburg, with sales and service support in all important European markets. In 2007, sales of Euro 60 million were achieved.
