Andritz to supply biomass boiler plant to Fortum V

Graz Austria - International technology Group Andritz has received an order from Fortum V

The biomass boiler plant will be one of the largest of its kind worldwide. Start-up is scheduled for the third quarter of 2015. The order includes the supply of a PowerFluid fluidized bed boiler with useful heat output of 330 MW, a flue gas cleaning plant, as well as the electrical and control systems.

With the new plant from Andritz Energy & Environment, which will cover the rising demand for district heating in Stockholm, fossil-based fuels like coal and oil can be replaced largely by eco-friendly biomass.
