Canadian Solar to sell five solar power plants

Guelph, Canada - Canadian Solar has reported it will sell five utility-scale solar power plants totaling 49 megawatts (MW) valued at over C$ 290 mio. (211 mio. Euro). Its subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., has entered into a sales agreement with Concord Pacific's green energy affiliate, Concord Green Energy. Construction on the plants located in Ontario is expected to be carried out beginning in the current year and continuing in the following year with commercial operation expected in 2014.

Canadian Solar will provide turnkey engineering, procurement and construction ("EPC") services to complete the projects and will provide operations and maintenance services after completion, as was revealed in the company
