450 MW: Gamesa signs deal to supply wind turbines for US projects

Madrid

Under terms of the agreement, Gamesa will supply up to 225 of Gamesa G114-2.0 MW wind turbine generators in wind projects that the EDP Renovaveis (EDPR) plans to build in the country. This agreement represents the largest contract for Gamesa's G114-2.0 MW turbines to date.

"This agreement strengthens the long-standing relationship we have with EDPR globally and in North America," Gamesa North America CEO Borja Negro said. "This collaboration with a valued customer demonstrates the appeal of the Gamesa G114 model, which is one of the most efficient wind turbines in the market. The agreement reinforces Gamesa's presence in the United States and demonstrates our position as a technology leader in the United States wind power industry."

Gamesa and EDPR previously collaborated on the 400-MW Lone Star Wind Farm complex in Texas. Gamesa has delivered wind turbines totaling more than 1,500 MW to EDPR worldwide.
