Envitec Biogas starts of construction of a new biogas plant in Great Britain

Lohne, Germany

The Lower Saxony-based EnviTec Biogas AG is profiting from the demand, and is currently implementing a total of five projects for British clients.

The starting pistol for the construction of a 300-cubic metre/hour EnviTec biomethane plant with an additional upstream 360-kW CHP unit, was recently fired by David Bermingham and Guy Hildred near Ipsden, Oxfordshire, South-East England. If everything goes according to plan, their Icknield Gas Ltd. should be able to feed green energy into the existing grid of Scotia Gas Networks at the end of the year.

In the future, the biogas plant is expected to be operated using a combination of maize silage, pig slurry, grain and whole-crop silage.
