Transaction: Energiekontor sells NRW Wind Farm to CEE Group

Bremen, Germany - The Bremen-based project developer and wind energy specialist Energiekontor AG has sold the Waldfeucht wind farm to the Hamburg-based CEE Group. The wind farm consists of three Nordex 4.5 Megawatt (MW) wind turbines.

The wind farm is located west of Heinsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia not far from the Dutch border. The expected annual energy yield is around 35 million kilowatt hours. The purchase price was not disclosed. The debt financing was made possible by DKB Deutsche Kreditbank AG, with which Energiekontor and CEE have already cooperated in various transactions.

"The sale process of the Waldfeucht wind farm went according to plan and represents an important contribution to the 2019 annual result," says Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor AG. "We are delighted with the acquisition of Waldfeucht wind farm, our first joint project with Energiekontor. We believe that this transaction provides a strong foundation for a long-lasting cooperative and successful relationship", said Detlef Schreiber, CEO of the CEE Group.
