Deutsche Windtechnik consolidates trend towards full maintenance: new contracts for 25 wind turbines

Bremen - The full service concept of the independent service provider Deutsche Windtechnik finds further supporters: At the end of March new full maintenance contracts for 25 Vestas® turbines of the types V80 and V90 with a total of 50 MW have been concluded. Seven of these turbines are operated by the international funds management company DIF, 18 by the Danish wind farm project planner European Energy S/A. This means that nearly one third of the wind turbines maintained by Deutsche Windtechnik are maintained according to full maintenance criteria (485 of 1549 turbines). For further information the company is represented at the international fair Hannover Messe, hall 27, stand H24.

“The clear majority of our conclusions within the last months are full maintenance contracts. Our customers appreciate that they can safely invest and calculate their profits many years in advance. The responsibility for availability lies with us, this relieves the customer”, Lars Behrends, head of sales at Deutsche Windtechnik Service, describes important decision criteria for the choice of a contract.

Foundation included
The agreements for the 25 new turbines comprise complete maintenance of the wind turbine including its large components, rotor blades and now also: of the foundations. Partially Deutsche Windtechnik also undertakes the removal of exterior damages at a guaranteed availability of up to 98, sometimes also 97 percent. The contracts start at various times within the time frame as of now until February 2016 and predominantly are effective 10 to 12 years.

Complete servicing for wind energy plants
The company Deutsche Windtechnik with its headquarters in Bremen offers the entire package for technical maintenance of wind energy turbines from the same source. The company predominantly works onshore but increasingly also offshore.
