Construction of the largest own developed Nordex wind farm in France to commence in 2015

- Nordex and H2air have secured finance via KGAL

Hamburg - After clearing the last major hurdle, wind turbine manufacturer Nordex and its partner the H2air Group are now able to commence their largest wind farm project in France to date. The two parties have been able to secure the finance for the 75-MW “Seine Rive Gauche Nord“ (SRN) wind farm via KGAL Investment Management.

The farm comprises 30 N100/2500 kW wind turbines, which Nordex will be supplying and installing in 2015. Moreover the local preparatory work will already commence in Spring 2014 to ensure that the farm is ready to go turnkey on line when installation has been completed. Thus, Nordex and H2air are readying the grid infrastructure for the turbines.

Both companies have worked together in the past on project development. After completion, H2airGT will be responsible for technical and commercial operations management at the wind farm.

SRN is located in the département of Aube in Northern France and is to achieve an annual electricity output of 183 GWh, sufficient to supply 50,000 homes with clean power.

“This project marks a major success for me for many reasons. For one thing, it is one of the largest internally developed projects. And, for another, it underscores the good cooperation via important partners in France and Germany,” says Nordex Management Board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard.
