Senvion and CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Sign strategic Framework Contract for Generators

Hamburg, Germany /Beijing, China – The wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has signed a framework contract with its supplier CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Co., Ltd at China Windpower fair in Beijing.

The contract covers the delivery of generators for the NES based Senvion 3.XM series. It foresees that CRRC will provide a minimum of 50% of generators for the 3.7M144, at least 100 pieces in the next three years.

CRRC is one of the largest traction equipment and wind power generator manufacturers in China. As the company points out, CRRC has the strongest R&D and manufacturing capability in China's wind power market. “Following Senvion's Global footprint, we aim to become Senvion's strategic cooperation partner for existing and new markets", Zhou Junjun, President at CRRC Zhuzhou Electric, said.

Senvion develops, produces and markets wind turbines for almost any location - with rated outputs of 2 MW to 6.15 MW and rotor diameters of 82 metres to 152 metres. Furthermore, the company offers its customers project specific solutions in the areas of turnkey, service and maintenance, transport and installation, as well as foundation planning and construction. The Senvion systems are mainly designed in the major TechCenters in Osterrönfeld and Bangalore and manufactured at its German and Portuguese plants in Bremerhaven, Vagos and Oliveira de Frades as well as in ?ory-Warszowice, Poland and Baramati, India.
