70,000 Tons of Polysilicon: Jinkosolar and Wacker Sign Long-term Supply Contract

Shangro, China - China-based solar module manufacturer Jinkosolar and Germany-based Wacker Chemie AG have signed a long-term polysilicon supply agreement. Under the contract, Wacker will supply more than 70,000 metric tons of polysilicon to Jinkosolar Co, Ltd. from September 2021 to December 2026.

Wacker will reserve the agreed capacity for Jinko Solar Co, Ltd. and supply polysilicon from its production facilities in Germany and the United States, Jinkosolar said. The maximum polysilicon production capacity that Wacker Chemie can produce annually is 80,000 tons.

By locking in over 70,000 tons of polysilicon from Wacker, we will ensure the reliability of the manufacturing of our products from a high-quality raw material source, as well as the stable supply of our high efficiency products to our global clients."
