Nordex Stock Rises Sharply After Major Order From Peru

Hamburg, Germany - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex is continuing its series of orders with a major contract from Peru. The RENIXX Group will supply 30 N155/5.X wind turbines for a 177 MW wind farm in the Ica region in southwestern Peru for an unnamed customer.

The project is the first order for N155/5.X turbines of the Delta4000 series with a rotor diameter of 155 meters and the flexible rated power in the 5 MW class. In addition to the turbine delivery, the order includes a full service contract with a term of ten years. Construction work for the wind farm is scheduled to start in the fall of 2022. The Nordex Group completed the first wind farm in Peru with 132 MW in 2018.

Peru has considerable wind energy potential thanks to its geographical position. Mainly in the regions close to the coast between the Andes and the Pacific, the average wind speeds reach 7.5 m/s and more at an altitude of 80 metres.

With a gain of 6.2 percent to a price of EUR 16.51, Nordex stock is now leading the RENIXX index in yesterday's trading (Nov. 25, 2021, closing price, Stuttgart Stock Exchange). By yesterday evening, the RENIXX company's stock had thus gained 10 percent in the current week. In early trading today, profit-taking weighed on the stock. Nordex is currently trading down 3.9 percent at EUR 15.86 (11/26/2021, 08:20 a.m., Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
