New Service Contracts: Deutsche Windtechnik Further Expands Position In The Spanish Market
Zaragoza, Spain - Deutsche Windtechnik has already signed two full-service contracts for wind turbines with more than 400 megawatts (MW) total capacity in Spain in December (2021). The partners are unnamed "major players" in the renewable energy sector.
For the maintenance of the turbines, Deutsche Windtechnik is relying on a new customized maintenance concept that offers the customer maximum flexibility. In addition, the implementation of the new service tasks makes it necessary to adapt existing structures to the growth, i.e. for the new projects alone, the recruitment of 30 service technicians was initiated. In addition, Deutsche Windtechnik is strengthening its office staff in order to be prepared for further growth in the coming years.
Currently, the Spanish unit of Deutsche Windtechnik employs more than 200 people and has a total of more than 1,300 wind turbines under maintenance contract, including mainly Gamesa (more than 700 wind turbines of the technologies G4X to G97), Vestas/NEG Micon, Gamesa and Siemens turbines. This also makes Deutsche Windtechnik one of the leading independent multi-brand providers in Spain.
"More than 400 MW of new contracts are clear proof of our growth and that Deutsche Windtechnik's strategy of improving service quality and adapting to customer maintenance requirements is successful. These two comprehensive contracts demonstrate the customer's trust in our services," said Diego Botero GarcĂa, Managing Director of Deutsche Windtechnik in Spain.
