Personnel: Maël Lagarde appointed as new Managing Director / CEO of VSB Énergies Nouvelles
Nîmes, France / Dresden, Germany - VSB énergies Nouvelles, a subsidiary of the VSB Group, has appointed Maël Lagarde as its new Managing Director / CEO.
At VSB, Maël successively held the positions of wind and operations engineer, and operations and recovery manager before taking on the New Markets Department, a position he has held since January 2021. Maël is also, in this capacity, a member of the Management Committee (CoDir) of VSB Énergies Nouvelles.
"This new position is an extraordinary opportunity for me to continue the great momentum that has been built up over the last 20 years in France and, more than ever, to work on increasing the share of green electrons on the grid", Legarde said.
VSB Énergies Nouvelles, based in Nîmes, has been a major player in the renewable energy sector in France for 20 years. The company covers the entire value chain: from the development to the development and production of renewable energies, including financing, construction, operation, maintenance and administrative management. VSB Énergies Nouvelles employs more than 140 people in 6 agencies and manages wind energy and solar plants with a capacity of more than 900 MW.
