106 MW Wind Project: Construction Starts on Energiequelle's Largest Finland Windfarm to Date
Kristiinankaupunki, Finland - The project planner and operator Energiequelle from Kallinchen near Berlin has started construction work on the company's largest wind farm in Finland to date.
"This wind farm with a total of 16 turbines is an important milestone for our Finnish company and the entire Energiequelle Group," says Karl Schultheis, the project manager responsible for the wind farm. The financial scope of the project is in the nine-digit range, making it Energiequelle's largest single investment in the Finnish market to date. Moreover, this is the first joint project between Energiequelle and Siemens Gamesa.
Energiequelle has built three wind farms in Finland so far: Paltusmäki, Konttisuo and Takanebacken. The company's next wind farms are scheduled for completion this year in Kalajoki and Hyrynsalmi. In total, Energiequelle has around 2,500 MW of wind energy projects planned in different parts of Finland and plans to start its first solar projects in Finland this year.
Energiequelle GmbH has been active internationally as a project developer and operator of wind energy, biomass and photovoltaic plants as well as transformer stations and storage facilities since 1997. The Energiequelle Group has over 400 employees and has built more than 800 plants with a total output of around 1,500 MW.
