Dauerthal (renewablepress) - As of 1st of April 2021, Simon Hagedorn will be appointed Chief Financial Officer of ENERTRAG. The board position will be newly created. The expansion of the corporate board and the reorganisation of responsibilities is a response to ENERTRAG's constant growth.

The Supervisory Board of ENERTRAG has decided to expand the former three-member Executive Board and appointed the former head of the finance department, Simon Hagedorn (36), as CFO. The business economist will be responsible for the newly created Executive Board Department of Financing, Mergers and Acquisitions, Commercial Management and Accounting from 1th of April 2021.

The expansion of the Executive Board is a response to the success of the company, which has been growing at an annual rate of around 15 percent in recent years. In addition, with an enlarged board, ENERTRAG is preparing for the anticipated growth in international business as well as in the area of power-to-gas and, thus, the advancing sector coupling.

"We are very happy that we were able to win Simon Hagedorn, a proven financial expert and dynamic colleague from our company, for the Executive Board," stated ENERTRAG Supervisory Board Chairman Burkhard Bastuck, PhD. "On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I wish Mr Hagedorn every success in his new challenging task."

"We are particularly pleased that with Simon, a young colleague is joining the Executive Board who has spent almost his entire professional career with us. An excellent example of a successful ENERTRAG career," said Jörg Müller, ENERTRAG founder and CEO.

The expansion of the Executive Board is also accompanied by a reorganisation of responsibilities. Gunar Hering, PhD, will take over the responsibility for Human Resources and Legal Affairs in addition to Project Development. Matthias König will remain responsible for Construction, Operations, Purchasing and Electricity Grids. CEO Jörg Müller will increasingly devote his time to Digitalisation as well as Organisational Development and political support for the advancing energy transition.
