Spire introduces 25-MW combined cell and codule line

Massachusetts, USA - Spire Corporation has introduced a fully integrated cell-module 25 megawatt (MW) turnkey photovoltaic production line at Intersolar 2008 in Munich, Germany.

Spire has designed the turnkey line that integrates both cell and module manufacturing, converting silicon wafers directly into modules. Spire will continue to offer standalone cell and module manufacturing lines, but this integrated factory design takes advantage of continuous material flow for automated, efficient production of modules from wafers, according to the company.
