Transaction: Capcora Supports Oekostrom AG in the Acquisition of Repowering Wind Farm

Frankfurt, Germany - Capcora GmbH & Co. KG from Frankfurt advised Vienna-based oekostrom AG as a buy-side advisor in the context of the transaction management, financial modeling and commercial due diligence on the acquisition of the onshore wind project Wansleben with 7.2 MW.

Seller of the windfarm is the Ostwind Group from Regensburg, which already sold a Czech wind farm to Oekostrom AG in 2017.

The Wansleben windfarm which is located in Saxony-Anhalt consists of two Vestas V136 wind turbines with a nominal output of 3.6 MW each and a total capacity of 7.2 MW. The windfarm is a repowering project. Three Südwind S70 turbines from 2002, each with a capacity of 1.5 MW have been replaced by two bigger new ones. Only one of the new wind turbines can generate 6 times the yield of the old systems.

Construction of the repowering project began in May 2018 and commissioning took place in December 2018. The wind farm is expected to produce about 25 million kWh of electricity per year and can thus supply more than 8,000 households with electricity from wind energy.
