Deutsche Windtechnik AG With A Successful Start Into 2020

Bremen - Deutsche Windtechnik, an independent provider of maintenance services, continued to grow in 2019 despite the turbulence on the German wind market. The company has also succeeded in starting the year 2020 with a new order.

Deutsche Windtechnik offers the complete package for the technical maintenance of wind turbines nationally and internationally from a single source. A broad diversification and focus on the wind markets in Europe, the USA and Taiwan enables a stable business development.

Deutsche Windtechnik is starting the year 2020 with a new order in Germany. Starting in February 2020, Deutsche Windtechnik will be taking over maintenance at the Bokel-Ellerdorf wind farm, Part 3. The new service contract covers full maintenance for the six Vestas V112 wind turbines, including large components. The wind farm, part 3, with a capacity of 18 MW is in operation since 2013 and located northwest of the town of Nortorf in Schleswig-Holstein (near Kiel). The service station used for maintenance is located in the direct vicinity of the wind farm, so that start-up times and distances can be kept short and costs saved.

In 2019, Deutsche Windtechnik has signed new contracts for 1,175 wind turbines of various turbine technologies worldwide, about half of them in Germany. We can look back on another successful year for independent maintenance," says Matthias Brandt, CEO of Deutsche Windtechnik.

"Despite the extremely tense situation regarding wind energy expansion in Germany, we were able to continue to grow. A number of factors contributed to this, including the strong growth of our international services in the offshore business area as well as our business with Senvion”, Brandt adds. The company currently services over 4,800 wind turbines worldwide. The current focus of the plant technology is on machines made by Vestas/NEG Micon, Siemens/AN Bonus, Nordex, Senvion, Fuhrländer, Gamesa and Enercon.
