Operational Management Portfolio: WPD Windmanager Is Responsible For Further Wind Farm in Poland

Bremen, Germany - The Bremen-based WPD Windmanager GmbH & Co. KG and Macquarie's Green Investment Group (GIG) are expanding their cooperation in Poland. In future, WPD Windmanager will be responsible for the commercial management of the Zajaczkowo wind farm in West Pomerania with 24 Vestas V80 wind turbines and a total output of 48 megawatts (MW).

The portfolio, which is managed by WPD Windmanager at the Polish location in Poznan in the commercial / technical management, will thus grow to a total capacity of 142 MW. Maquarie's Green Investment Group (GIG) is a specialist for ecological infrastructure investments, project development and implementation, environmental impact consulting and asset portfolio management.

"Like the Polish market, WPD Windmanager is on a growth course. In the last two years we have been able to expand our portfolio in Poland by around 126 MW and expect a further 100 MW in the course of the year", says Till Schorer, Director Sales at WPD Windmanager. The Poznan site is growing accordingly and will be strengthened with additional employees.

WPD Windmanager employs around 400 people and, according to its own information, currently manages 362 wind farms in Germany and abroad with 2,030 wind turbines and a total output of 4,313 megawatts. On the basis of a modular structure, are able to compile their individual wind farm management, from the control room with 24/7 service, technical controlling with field service on site through contract, insurance or quality management up to IT or QHSE. WPD Windmanager also has extensive experience in the areas of repowering or the optimization of cost reduction and yield increase potentials of wind farms.
