Wind Energy Expansion: Bachmann strengthens Retrofit Capabilities with New Team

Rendsburg, Germany - Bachmann electronic GmbH from Feldkirch in Austria is further expanding its expertise in wind automation solutions.

At the new German location in Rendsburg/Büdelsdorf, a 10-person team with more than 20 years of experience in the wind energy sector is engaged in the special field of extending the service life of turbines and optimising their efficiency through retrofits on the global market. The new team consists of former employees of the insolvent wind energy manufacturer Senvion taken over by Bachmann electronic.

“We are very excited to be joining Bachmann” says Martin von Mutius, head of the new retrofit team, “We want to grant independence to our customers, giving them the most from their turbines. This means durable, long-lasting automation solutions ensuring continuous productivity throughout turbine lifetimes; exactly what Bachmann provides”, von Mutius continues.

According to the company, Bachmann's wind turbine retrofit solutions enable the implementation of the newly required guidelines for "cyber security" and grid requirements. Components such as WTT (Wind Turbine Template), WPS (Wind Power SCADA), SPPC (Smart Power Plant Controller), Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) bring the technology up to date and allow standardization according to international standards.

Bachmann electronic GmbH is a globally active automation technology company based in Feldkirch, Austria. In the market segment wind power, the company has more than 20 years of experience in the automation of wind turbines. According to the company, Bachmann solutions are used in every third wind turbine worldwide. Bachmann focuses on integrated solutions. These include open and flexible communication standards, condition monitoring and web-based SCADA.
