Energiequelle Achieves Sales of 80 Million Euros in Pandemic Year 2020 - Expansion of Employment Continues
Kallinchen, Germany - Energiequelle GmbH has published its balance sheet for the 2020 financial year. Last year, the Kallinchen-based company, which is specialized in project planning and operational management, achieved sales of 80 million euros (2019: 87 million euros). The company also reached a milestone in expanding its workforce in April.

The result is based on the construction of 15 wind energy and PV projects with a total capacity of almost 50 MW. In the area of operational management, Energiequelle has expanded its portfolio by plants with a capacity of 30 MW. The total number of plants under management has thus grown to just under 800.
The order books for the next few years are also well filled. 19 wind turbines, three solar parks and two transformer stations are currently under construction. In addition, permits with a total capacity of 160 MW have been issued, and a further 46 MW are expected. Of this, 84 MW is in the German market, 98 MW in Finland and 24 MW in France.
"The entire team has done an excellent job despite the coronavirus, working from home and the associated challenges. We have never had as many approvals as this year. I see the future more than positively," Energiequelle owner and managing director Michael Raschemann sums up.
With a view to the further strategic orientation of the company, Energiequelle is working with its own department on innovative energy supply solutions in the areas of electric and hydrogen mobility, power-to-X and energy monitoring, especially for commercial customers. An intelligent charging concept for e-mobility is also currently being implemented at the main site in Kallinchen.
Energiequelle GmbH hires 300th employee
With the hiring of six new colleagues in April Energiequelle broke the mark of 300 employees. Almost half of the employees are based in Kallinchen, Brandenburg, 125 employees in the 10 other locations in Germany, 9 in Finland and 30 in France. Energiequelle began in 1997 with three employees, and 20 years later it had grown to more than 200. Due to strong growth in the last four years, the number of employees has already risen to 300. This year alone, Energiequelle has 21 new hires so far. At the same time, the company is proud to have many long-standing employees. Five 20-year company anniversaries have already been celebrated since December last year. Another 20 percent of employees have been employed by the company for more than 10 years.
