Nordex Scores In Finland And Spain At The End Of The Year 2021

Hamburg, Germany - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has been awarded a contract for the 380 MW Pjelax-Böle-Kristinestad Norr wind farm cluster in Finland at the end of 2021. The customer is the majority state-owned Finnish energy group Fortum. In addition, Nordex has also received an order from Spain for a 43 megawatt wind farm from RWE at the end of 2021.

Nordex receives wind power order for 380 MW capacity from Finland

Fortum has signed and finalized a contract with Nordex for the supply, installation and commissioning of 56 N163 wind turbines of the latest 6 MW class (Type 6.X variant). The wind farm project is being built in the municipalities of Närpes and Kristinestad in the southwest of Finland, south of Vaasa. The turbines will be delivered for this project in 6.8 MW operating mode, with the erection phase scheduled for spring 2023.

This is the first project of Fortum and Uniper's wind and solar team in cooperation with the Finnish energy company Helen and the first order for Fortum's Nordex Group. The order also includes a long-term premium service contract, Nordex announced.

Nordex receives order for 43 MW from Spain from RWE Renewables Iberia

At the End of 2021, Nordex also secured an order from Spain for RWE Renewables Iberia. Nordex is supplying nine N149/4.X turbines for the "Rea Unificado" wind farm project. The order also includes a service contract for a period of two years. The 43.2 MW "Rea Unificado" wind farm is being built in the province of Soria in the Castilla and León region. The delivery and installation of the turbines on 105-metre tubular steel towers is planned for summer 2022. The commissioning of the wind turbines with a nominal output of 4.8 MW is scheduled for the end of the same year. The wind farm is located almost 150 kilometres from the Nordex production plant in Barásoain, where the N149 nacelles will be manufactured.

Little momentum in the share prices/strong> Following a weak year on the stock market in 2021, Nordex stock has so far been able to post slight gains in 2022. Nordex stock is currently trading at EUR 14.16 (January 12, 2022, 2:31 p.m., Stuttgart Stock Exchange). Compared with the closing price at the end of the year, this represents an increase of 1.4 percent.
