Nordex Wind Turbines: Energiequelle Erects Finnish Wind Farm
Torvenkylä, Finland - Energiequelle GmbH is currently building the Torvenkyl wind farm in Finland. Construction of the foundations by the Finnish company Suvic Oy has now begun, Energiequelle announced.
Energiequelle Oy, the Finnish subsidiary of Energiequelle GmbH, is installing seven Nordex N163 turbines here, each with a capacity of 5.7 MW. Installation of the wind turbines supplied by Nordex is scheduled to begin in August 2022.
With the elevated foundation solution, a higher hub height can be erected. Once fully operational, the farm will produce around 120 GWh (120 million kWh) per year, supplying around 25,000 households and avoiding around 84,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
Torvenkylä is already Energiequelle's fourth project in Finland. The international project developer and operator has then already installed over 100 MW in the country. Another 2,400 MW are currently under development, according to Energiequelle.
