Technical Guideline 10: Pavana GmbH Accredited For Determination Of Wind Energy Site Quality

Husum, Germany - Pavana GmbH, which is specialised in wind measurements and expert reports, has been accredited for the service "Determination of site quality after commissioning" in accordance with Technical Guideline 10 (TR10) of the Fördergesellschaft Windenergie und anderer Dezentraler Energien e.V. (FGW) since 18 July 2022.

As one of the first few assessors, the Husum-based company can now add this service to its portfolio and offer it with immediate effect. Pavana had previously successfully participated in the FGW's round robin test to determine the site quality after commissioning.

The determination of the site quality of onshore wind turbines according to TR10 is important for operators for the remuneration according to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). TR10 describes the technical procedure for determining the site yield after commissioning in terms of the EEG 2017 and EEG 2021. Every five years, operators of wind farms in Germany must therefore have the site quality determined on the basis of operating data.

"I am very happy that we were able to be among the first companies to become accredited. By adding the site quality evidence according to TR10, we are expanding our service portfolio for developers, investors, banks and operators" says Pavana Managing Director Lars Levermann.

Husum-based Pavana GmbH offers specialised services for the planning of wind energy projects. The service portfolio includes wind measurements via LiDAR, wind assessments, site quality assessments and immission control assessments. Last year, the Husum-based company set up a 200m met mast for the verification of LiDAR devices, which is currently one of the highest in Germany and Europe.
