New Senior Advisor: Former Banker Wolf-Rüdiger Stahl Joins Capcora's Finance Team

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - The German project finance market for renewable energies is currently facing a radical change.

Capcora, a consulting firm specialising in real assets, expects a sharp increase in the number of solar and wind projects based on power purchase agreements (PPAs) in the coming months and years, which could pose financing challenges for many market participants.

Against this background, Capcora is strengthening its position with another financing specialist from the energy and infrastructure sector. Since the beginning of September 2022, former banker Wolf-Rüdiger Stahl has been supporting the Capcora team as a senior advisor within the framework of a cooperation.

Born in Swabia, Wolf-Rüdiger Stahl brings 30 years of experience from the banking world, where he dedicated himself in particular to the financing of energy and network infrastructures, Capcora says. Until the end of 2020, he managed the newly established target sector "Infrastructure and Utilities" of the German financing institute Deutsche Anlagen Leasing (DAL) as division manager. Prior to this, he held senior positions at several German and international banks with a focus on project finance, including Banque Paribas, DG-Bank, Landesbank Rheinland-Pfalz and LBBW. Since June 2022, Stadl has been advising his long-standing partners, investors, project developers, banks and interested parties from his network on the implementation of their energy projects as an independent consultant.

"We are pleased to have Wolf, a well-known and experienced banker from the renewable energy sector, as a fellow campaigner," Capcora's two managing partners Jochen Magerfleisch and Alexander Kuhn welcome the new addition. A lack of structuring know-how for PPA projects could lead to a financing bottleneck. Together with Stahl, Capcora will join forces and support project developers, investors and initiators as well as financing institutions in this challenge with an intelligent approach, Magerfleisch and Kuhn added.

"I am particularly pleased that I can support the Capcora team in this exciting time and make my contribution to the realisation of the energy transition", said Stahl with regard to his new job as Senior Advisor.
