Wpd Orders 109 MW Capacity: Nordex Receives Orders For Wind Farms in Sweden And Finland

Hamburg, Germany - Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex has received two orders from its regular customer Wpd.

The Nordex Group is supplying ten turbines of the 6 MW class (type N163/6.X) for the "Tomasliden" wind farm in Vesterbotten län, approx. 55 km west of Skeleftea in Sweden.

For the Finnish 41.3 MW project "Oulainen" in the municipality of Oulainen, region of North Ostrobothnia, Wpd has placed an order with the Nordex Group for the delivery of seven turbines of the 5 MW class (type N163/5.X).

In total, the order volume amounts to wind turbines with a capacity of 109.3 MW.

Nordex will supply the turbines in both projects in the cold-climate version and equip them with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System to prevent rotor blade icing. Construction work on both wind farms is scheduled to commence in spring 2024.
