International Credit Fund Subscribes: Sun Investment Group Secures Financing For 2 GW Solar Pipeline in Poland
Frankfurt am Main, Germany - The Polish Sun Investment Group (“SIG”), a vertically integrated European renewable energy company, has successfully secured financing for a project pipeline of nearly 2 GW of solar capacity. The facility was fully underwritten by an international debt fund.
SIG's pipeline comprises 323 individual projects ranging in size from 1 MWp to 120 MWp, including approximately 100 MWp of ready-to-build (“RTB”) projects, 1,120 MWp of mid-stage projects and 750 MWp of early-stage projects. This diversified portfolio, together with a further 190 MW of RTB projects in other portfolios in this market, consolidates SIG's role as a major player in the Polish renewable energy sector alongside other countries in Europe, Capcora said.
"We are delighted to have secured this credit facility with the support of Capcora. It will play a crucial role in the implementation of our business plan in the coming years. The Polish market is currently one of the most attractive markets for investors and lenders in Europe and offers alternative ways of financing", says Deividas Varabauskas, CEO of Sun Investment Group.
