Personnel: Dirk Simons Becomes New Member Of PNE's Supervisory Board - Assumption of The Chairmanship From January 2025

Cuxhaven, Germany - With Dirk Simons (57), the Supervisory Board of PNE AG has a new member and thus once again consists of seven people. Simons took over this function on November 01, 2024.

It is also planned that Simons will be elected as the new Chairman at the next meeting of the Supervisory Board and will hold this office from January 01, 2025.

Simons has decades of international experience in the energy sector. In recent years, he has successfully implemented projects at various companies in the renewable energy sector, including as Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Mainstream Renewable Power and as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) of Mabanaft. At Npower, Dirk Simons was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and CFO from 2015 to 2019. He also held various management positions in the RWE Group from 1995 to 2015.

In times of a challenging and constantly changing market environment, this knowledge will contribute to the continued success of PNE AG", said Marc van't Noordende, outgoing Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PNE, welcoming the new addition Simons.

Simons will succeed van't Noordende, who has chaired the Supervisory Board since August 1, 2024. Van't Noordende has taken over this function on an interim basis from Per Hornung Pedersen, who has been acting as CEO on an interim basis since Markus Lesser left the company.

Since November 1, 2024, the PNE Supervisory Board has consisting of Marc van't Noordende (Chairman), Christoph Oppenauer (Deputy Chairman), Roberta Benedetti, Alberto Donzelli, Marcel Egger, Dirk Simons and Dr. Susanna Zapreva.
