Focus on New Markets: Enphase Energy Expands in Southeast Asia With Market Entry in Vietnam And Malaysia

Fremont, USA - Fremont, USA-based solar technology company Enphase Energy has announced its expansion in Southeast Asia by entering the solar markets in Vietnam and Malaysia.

Enphase is now shipping IQ8PTM microinverters with a peak AC output of 480W for residential and commercial applications in Vietnam and Malaysia to support newer high-power solar modules. Enphase announced initial shipments of IQ8P microinverters to Thailand and the Philippines last year with an eye on the Southeast Asia region.

The IQ8P microinverters are the most powerful microinverters ever offered by Enphase. The product has a peak output power of 480 W and is designed to seamlessly interface with a full range of solar modules up to 640 W DC.

“The Vietnamese solar market is poised for explosive growth thanks to the new Decree 135/2024/ND-CP on October 22, 2024. This will be a major boost to the government's ambitious 2050 net-zero carbon goal,” said Phan Ngoc Anh, CEO of Alena Energy, a distributor of Enphase products in Vietnam.

Enphase shares fell by 2.5% to EUR 59.48 in the first four trading days of this week (closing price on January 30, 2025, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
