Santander finances Mexian SoWiTec wind farms with a capacity of up to 850 MW

The actual capacity is dependent on the wind energy plant finally chosen. According to the contract, both partners will hold a share of 50 percent in the four project companies. Santander is obliged to invest 100 percent of the required capital by the time the development of the wind farms will have been completed. SoWiTec and Santander will sell the projects with an overall investment volume of around 1.2 B Euros, once project developments will be finished.

The portfolio consists of 160 MW in San Luis Potosi, 200 MW in Nuevo Leon and 340 MW in Coahuila. Director of Santander and chief executive of Asset & Capital Structuring Mexico, Osvaldo Ranc
