Padcon supplies first large-scale solar inverter with an output of 1600 kW

Helmstadt, Germany - Padcon GmbH (Mainbernheim / Helmstadt) manufacturer of inverters for power plants has supplied the first large-scale inverter to Beck Energy.

The large-scale inverter type AMC1600, with direct output into the 20kV grid level and power output of 1600kW is the most powerful solar inverter on the market. The two power units with 800kW each are connected by means of an ADIA interface in order to allow for high efficiencies also in the lower partial-load operational range.

"Beck Energy had decided in favour of this device due to its capacity, the compatibility with the grid and its trend-setting control unit for solar inverters that allows data access within milliseconds", explained Padcon CEO Constantin Wenzlik.
