Press release

PNE WIND AG intends to quickly realise projects in the United Kingdom with a financially strong partner

- Optimum implementation of projects
- Enabling the expansion of the Scottish Portfolio

Cuxhaven / Edinburgh – PNE WIND AG, an international German wind farm project developer, aims to quickly develop its projects located in the United Kingdom together with a financially strong partner. PNE WIND UK, the Edinburgh-based Joint Venture of PNE WIND AG, is primarily active in the development of wind farms in Scotland and is focussed on actively expanding its project pipeline which currently represents wind farm projects with approx. 1,169 MW of nominal capacity. Scotland does not only have excellent wind resources but also benefits from having an attractive and stable political climate for onshore wind energy. Operating in the UK and specifically Scotland has been a positive experience for PNE Wind AG.

Martin Billhardt, CEO of PNE WIND AG: \"From our discussions with potential investors, we have learned that they are particularly interested in large project portfolios such as the one developed by us. Several of our projects have already been approved or are close to obtaining approval. By involving a strong financial partner to quickly carry out investments in construction, operations and the monitoring of the wind farms in the region, we aim to realize strategic synergies. In addition to realising the value added from the development of these projects, we look to strengthen and secure our involvement in the Scottish market in the long term.\"

PNE WIND AG aims to form a partnership which enables it to expand the project pipeline and to participate in the development, construction and operation of the wind farms. PNE WIND UK has developed strong contacts with land owners, local authorities, local communities and Senior Government officials. PNE WIND AG will continue to rely on this network as well as the expertise of its PNE WIND UK employees with their offices in Edinburgh and Brighton.
