US -Trade Ministry: import duties on Chinese solar cells effective retroactively

With this resolution, the ministry wants to prevent that a high number of Chinese solar electricity products is brought to the US-market, according to SolarWorld. The 2nd March has been scheduled to decide on an anti-subvention duty. Hence, goods brought to the country since 2nd December are concerned. The American authorities also decide on an anti-dumping duty. The passing of the resolution is set for the 27th March. Whether this duty will also become retroactively effective or not remains to be announced.
Both of the inquiries go back to a lawsuit filed by the American SolarWorld Industries America Inc. and other US companies. The petition was handed in at the International Trade Commission of the US and the US
