Suntech receives order from India

Wuxi, China and New Delhi, India - Suntech Power Holdings, a producer of crystalline silicon solar panels, has signed agreements to supply Azure Power, an independent solar power producer in India, with several MW of solar panels to develop utility-scale solar projects across several states in India.

The solar power plants will be owned, developed, and financed by Azure Power and will feature thousands of Suntech's 280W polycrystalline solar panels. According to Suntech the first project is already under construction and additional solar power plants will be developed in early 2011.
