Ormat: 130 million supply & EPC contract for geothermal plant in New Zealand

As to Ormat, the company signed a supply contract and the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Mighty River Power Limited of New Zealand. The order would be part of the Ngatamariki geothermal project valued at a total of approximately 130 million dollar. Construction of the power plant is expected to be completed within 24 months from the contract date, says Ormat.

Dita Bronicki, CEO of Ormat, said that the company would be increasing the product segment guidance for 2011 by approximately 15 percent to between 90 million and 100 million dollar on account of the project. The completion of this power plant would bring the total installed capacity of Ormat
