juwi sells PV-park to Czech investor

Prague, Czech Republic / Woerrstadt, Germany - After the commissioning in late 2009 and two years of controlled operation, the solar park Morasice has now been sold to the Czech investor Ing. Jiri Almost, under participation of the Czech bank LBBW.

The plant has been constructed by the German based juwi group. In total 14,200 First Solar thin-film modules with a capacity of 1,065 kilowatts peak (kWp) are installed. The expected annual yield sums up to 1.16 million kWh.

COO Jochen Magerfleisch is convinced of the Czech Republic's potential, despite reluctant support from the political side: "Solar power is a central element of a comprehensive power supply based on renewable energies. The urgently needed energy transition on a European level based on 100 percent renewable energies cannot be realized without the expansion of solar power."
