Nordex Group Once Again Market Leader in Onshore Wind Power in Germany in 2025
Hamburg (Germany) - In 2025, the Nordex Group was responsible for almost one third of newly installed onshore wind power capacity in Germany. According to the German Onshore Wind Energy Agency (Fachagentur Windenergie an Land), the company’s share amounted to “31.5% of all onshore wind turbines newly connected to the grid.”
The company’s strong position in its home market was further underpinned in 2025 by a record level of order intake. With total orders amounting to 10,200 MW (10.2 GW), the Nordex Group achieved a new all-time high for the full year 2025, clearly surpassing the previous record set the year before.
Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President Region Central at the Nordex Group, emphasized: “We will continue to invest in innovation and service, ensuring our customers benefit from reliable schedules and high yields — supported by our strong regional presence and technology that is perfectly suited to German sites and grid conditions. We expect this positive trend to continue in 2026.”
To date, the Nordex Group has installed around 57 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets worldwide and generated consolidated revenues of approximately €7.3 billion in 2024. With more than 10,400 employees and production facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, and the United States, the company focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, specifically designed for countries with limited expansion space and regions with constrained grid capacity.
The Nordex share, which is listed in the global RENIXX renewable energy stock index, is currently trading at €31.82. Over the past week, the stock paused its rally and declined slightly by 1.2% to €31.88.
