• UKA purchases projects in all development phases – from early planning to construction. Clear, fast acquisition processes.
Meissen (renewablepress) - In the first half of 2026, the UKA Group acquired or invested in wind projects with a total capacity of approximately 900 MW. The projects are spread throughout Germany and most of them are in the early to mid-stages of development. They are adding to a portfolio that currently includes about 1.5 GW under construction.
Stefan Kath, Managing Director at the UKA Group: "The market is currently undergoing a shake-up. Developers with a wind project in the pipeline today are grappling with rising costs, tighter financing conditions and declining tender revenues. So for many developers it makes financial sense to bring a strong partner on board – whether to collaborate on their project or to agree on a full acquisition. UKA has signed general agreements for at gigawatt scale with wind turbine manufacturers and other project partners. The company has also been successful in oversubscribed bidding rounds. Developers’ in good hands with us, giving them the freedom to pursue other projects."
Project developers who are considering a sale or a collaboration generally cite various reasons: a lack of liquidity, limited manpower, or the desire to avoid bearing the construction and operational risks themselves. With experienced teams, in-house grid connection competence, and the necessary financial heft, UKA brings the required expertise to every phase of a project's development, while at the same time, the trust that has been built up with municipalities, landowners, and financing partners is maintained.
As an owner-managed company with more than 26 years of experience, UKA has an “excellent” credit rating confirmed by Creditreform and operates at least one location in every major federal state in Germany. Over the past two years or so, binding orders for wind turbines with a total capacity of just under 2 GW have been signed. This procurement certainty directly benefits the projects being purchased. Any developer who sells their project to UKA or enters into a partnership with the company benefits from acquisition processes that are designed for reliability and speed, as well as from its goal of bringing more than 1 GW of wind power capacity online each year in the medium term.
