REpower: 25 turbines for Canadian wind farm projects

Hamburg / Toronto - REpower Systems SE has concluded a contract with WindWorks Power Corp. for the delivery of a total of 25 wind turbines for five projects in Ontario (Canada).

Five MM92 CCV wind turbines (cold climate version) are destined for each of the wind farms Settlers Landing, Snowy Ridge, Grey Highlands, Cloudy Ridge and Clean Breeze, all located in the vicinity of Oshawa (Province of Ontario). The wind farms will generate a total output of more than 50 megawatts. With a nominal output of 2.05 MW each and a hub height of 100 meters, the turbines are scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2013 and put into operation in the summer of the same year.

Only in May, REpower announced plans to deliver 15 turbines for projects run by WindWorks in Ontario. Andreas Nauen, CEO of REpower Systems SE commented:
