Expansion: Wpd Windmanager Acquires Electrical Engineering Specialist Oltec

Bremen / Oldenburg, Germany - The operating company Wpd Windmanager GmbH & Co. KG has taken over Oltec Service GmbH from Oldenburg as of 01 January 2022.

Oltec has been developing plant systems and software for around 20 years to safely regulate and control wind energy and solar farmsas well as substations and combined heat and power plants. The Oltec employees will be taken over by Wpd Windmanager.

Wpd Windmanager, headquartered in Bremen, is thus further expanding the electrical engineering division within the company and enlarging its range of services including all control systems and transmission technology of the Oldenburg-based company. The new services also increase Wpd Windmanager's customer base. In addition to wind farm operators and plant managers, utilities, direct power marketers and planners rely on Oltec's solutions. The acquisition of the business unit also adds another location to the Wpd Windmanager network.

"In the field of control technology and data transmission, we are gaining tremendous expertise. This enables us to support the entire wind farm connection - from the wind turbine through the substation to the energy supplier," adds Oliver Klausch, Head of Technical Management at Wpd Windmanager.
