Wind Market USA: Nordex Secures Major Order For Wind Farm in California

Hamburg, Germany - Nordex has received an order from the USA for 25 N149/5.X turbines from the Delta 4000 series. The order has been placed by an unnamed customer.

It is planned to install the turbines with a total capacity of 148 MW on an 89 m seismic tower in an undisclosed wind farm in California. Delivery is scheduled for summer 2025 and commissioning by the end of 2025. The contract also includes maintenance of the turbines for a period of ten years.

To date, Nordex has sold 738 turbines of the Delta4000 series with a capacity of over 3,600 MW (3.6 GW) in Canada and the United States.

In total, the Nordex Group has installed wind turbines with a total capacity of around 50,000 MW (50 GW) in over 40 markets. The company generated consolidated sales of around EUR 6.5 billion in 2023 and currently employs more than 10,000 people. The production network includes plants in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the USA (currently not active) and Mexico. The product programme focuses on onshore turbines, primarily in the 4 to 6 MW class.

The Nordex share price has risen by 2.35 per cent to EUR 13.49 in trading today (14:43, 02.05.2024, Stuttgart Stock Exchange).
