Belgian Aukera Energy Buys Solar Plant With Battery Storage in Germany

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - The Belgian company Aukera Energy is expanding its renewable energy portfolio in Germany. Aukera Energy is acquiring a 46 MW solar power plant in combination with a 40 MW battery energy storage system (BESS).

The project in Rhineland-Palatinate, which is at an advanced stage of development, is being sold by an unnamed German renewable energy project developer. Frankfurt-based Capcora acted as exclusive M&A advisor to the seller in this transaction.

The transaction was structured through a share purchase agreement, which also includes agreements on development services. The solar power plant is expected to be ready for construction by the first quarter of 2025.

“The project is on track to reach ready-to-build status next year and we are already preparing to start pre-construction and procurement activities. This proactive approach ensures that we are ahead of schedule and maintain momentum,” said Kemal Keskin, Managing Director of Aukera Germany.
