Qualitas Reaches Strategic Milestone: Qualitas Energy Secures Permits And Awards Totaling Over 1,000 MW Of Wind Power Capacity

Berlin, Germany – The investment and management platform Qualitas Energy, which specializes in renewable energy, has made significant progress in expanding its German wind energy portfolio in the first half of 2025.

According to the company, it received permits for 43 wind turbines with a total capacity of 275 megawatts (MW). At the same time, permit applications were submitted for another 156 turbines with a combined capacity of over 1,000 MW (1 GW).

In the two most recent tender rounds by the Federal Network Agency, Qualitas Energy also secured awards for 19 wind turbines totaling 121.4 MW. The company, which focuses on onshore wind in Germany, thus holds one of the largest development portfolios in the German market. According to Qualitas Energy, more than 100 projects with a combined capacity of over 3 GW are currently in the final stages of development.

“These achievements reflect our team’s dedication and the strength of our long-term commitment to accelerating the deployment of renewable energy in Germany,” said Johannes Overbeck, Co-CEO of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH. The goal is to “provide sustainable growth, strengthen local communities and drive the energy transition forward.”

Once operational, the projects could theoretically supply electricity to more than two million households. With these advances, Qualitas Energy underscores its ambition to be a key player in transforming Germany’s energy infrastructure.
