VSB Drives Polish Energy Transition Forward: VSB Begins Construction of Major 303 MW Solar Park in Poland with Battery Storage

Warsaw (Poland) – With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, VSB Poland has officially launched the construction phase of the “Brzezinka” photovoltaic park in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The project, with a capacity of 303 megawatts peak (MWp) and an integrated 106 MW battery storage system, ranks among the largest solar projects in Poland and sets new benchmarks across Europe.

Covering an area of more than 260 hectares, around 467,000 solar modules and approximately 70 kilometers of cable routes will be installed by the end of 2027. The project marks the starting point for a planned hybrid energy park, which will later be expanded to include a wind farm of up to 245 MW.

Dr. Felix Grolman, CEO of the VSB Group, commented:

“The start of construction for the Brzezinka project marks the launch of an energy park that will seamlessly combine photovoltaics, wind power, and battery storage. As VSB Group, we are paving the way for further investments. Poland, with its growing electricity demand and increasingly stable policy environment, offers ideal conditions for the expansion of renewable Energy."
